Guobadia was born on 2 June 1964 in Nigeria, West Africa. There are some sources which also says he was born in the United States of America. He completed college at Loyola College Ibadan, Nigeria. From there, he went to the University of Columbia under the Department of Accounting in 1993.
After school, Simon started as a Tax Manager in a company named Deloitte in 2004 and left two years later to another company he started. The name of the company is SIMCOL Group of Company which he started in 2007. He also worked in another petroleum company called KLC Petroleum. It was during this period he had an opportunity to work as an executive producer in some movies and TV shows. He also opened a restaurant which closed during the COVID-19 pandemic. In 2014, Simon was charged withChapter 11 bankruptcy but he managed to pay off his creditors.
