Jack Dorsey’s Early Life and Career
Dorsey was born on 19 November 1976 in Missouri to Tim and Marcia Dorsey. He completed Bishop DuBourg High School. Whiles in school, Jack was working as a fashion model. He also upgraded his education between 1995 and 1997 at the University of Missouri–Rolla then transferred to New York University. However, he dropped out of school in 1999 and started planning on how to start a social media platform which was later called Twitter.
He launched his own company in 2000 to help dispatch couriers, taxis, and other services from the Internet. Together with some friends (Stone and Noah Glass), they founded the Obvious Corporation which helped to launch Twitter. So, the social media platform was gaining recognition and the world. Williams became the CEO of Twitter then Jack became the chairman of the board. In 2011, when Dick Costolo was the CEO, Jack was made the Executive Chairman. Years later, Costolo resigned and Jack took over as CEO of Twiter.
