American rapper and record producer Dr. Dre is well-known. He is a co-founder of Beats Electronics, which was purchased by technology behemoth Apple Inc. in 2014 for $3.4 billion.
In his teen years, Dre started performing as a DJ. With the rap group N.W.A, he achieved his first significant success, and in 1991, he also co-founded Death Row Records. His debut solo album, The Chronic, was a great success in 1992. In 1996, Dre founded Aftermath Entertainment and signed 50 Cent and Eminem to his label.
On November 14, 2011, Dre revealed that he would be taking a hiatus from music once he had done working with Kendrick Lamar and Slim the Mobster.
