Zion Lateef Williamson is an American basketball player who plays for the New Orleans Pelicans in the NBA and became the 4th youngest NBA player to be selected to an All-Star game.
Early Life
Born in Salisbury, North Carolina, Zion dreamt of becoming a college basketball star at the age of 5 years and started training right from 5 a.m when he was just 9 years old and that tells how determined he has always been since childhood about his dreams. His mother Sharonda Sampson was his coach during the time he competed in youth leagues and played for the Sumter Falcons on the Amateur Athletic Union (AAU) circuit playing against opponents who were 4 years older than him.
Interestingly when Zion joined the basketball team at Johnakin Middle School, his was coached by his mother again and averaged 20 points per game.

Zion Williamson Height & Weight
Like most basketball players Zion is very tall as his height Is 6ft 6 in (1.98m) and weighs 284 lb or 129kg and despite his heavy weight for a basketball player, Lateef is is known for his speed and leaping ability.
Zion Williamson Age

Zion Williamson Injury
Supposed to be his 3rd NBA season, 1st pick overall in the 2019 NBA Draft Zion Lateef Williamson has been out with a fractured 5th Metatarsal injury in his right root, this injury is a common injury where the bone connecting your ankle to your little toe breaks. That could be due to the force in which Zion dunks.
His organization the New Orleans Pelicans does not even know when his return date would be, his rehabilitation has been in Portland and progress has been slow.
The former Duke star entered the NBA with stardom and has lived up to that expectation, but at 21 years, the star has put on so much weight (144kg), suffered over 9 basketball injuries including one in his knee, fractured ring finger, and a broken thumb and many ask if he can keep up the pace in his career.
Shutting him down for the 2021/2022 NBA season seems extremely likely considering how the Pelicans sit on the table on 10th position filling the last place of the playoffs spot.
Acquiring the Likes of CJ McCollum and Larry Nance, Pels may not need Zion after all and could play under minutes restriction in case of any return. Zion Williamson has a bright NBA career and we all expect him back soon.
