Vicente is nicknamed “Chente,” and he goes by the names “El Charro de Huentitán,” “El Idol de México,” and “El Rey de la Msica Ranchera” (The King of Ranchera Music). Vicente Fernandez started out as a busker but has since become a cultural icon, having released more than 50 albums and featured in more than 30 movies.
