Loni Anderson, an American actress, won three Golden Globe Awards and had two Emmy Award nominations for her role as receptionist Jennifer Marlowe in the CBS comedy WKRP in Cincinnati.

She made her acting debut in a small role in the 1966 Steve McQueen movie Nevada Smith.

After that, she practically disappeared from the acting world for about ten years, only to reappear in the middle of the 1970s in guest appearances on television shows. S.W.A.T. included her in two of the episodes.

The daughter of a scientist, Loni Kaye Anderson was born in Saint Paul, Minnesota, on August 5, 1945, with exceptionally dark (jet black) hair.

She secretly joined beauty pageants while studying art at the University of Minnesota, eventually winning them (including a Miss Minnesota runner-up place in 1964).
