Charissa Thompson is an American television host and sportscaster working for Fox Sports. She has also worked for ESPN, Versus, GSN and the Big Ten Network. Charissa was born on 4 May 1982. She became the host of “Fox Sports Live” on Fox Sports 1 when it was started on 17 August 2013. Charissa was also the co-host on the entertainment news show Extra from 2014 to 2017.

She was born in a family of 5 made up of herself, her parents (Scott and Cathy Thompson), and two other siblings. Charissa completed Inglemoor High School, in Kenmore, Washington. From there, she got a college diploma from a community college in California. She finally graduated with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Law and society in 2014 from the University of California.
Before getting the chance to work with the media, Charissa worked as a waitress and bartender. She finally had her chance in 2006 with Fox Sports. However, she did not start from the microphone but rather as an HR Assistant. After a year, her moment arrived. From her work as an HR Assistant, she moved to work in the production department. After another year in this position, she got her chance to work on Best D*mn Sports Show Period.
After years of working with Fox, Charissa left in 2010 and returned 3 years after. She has worked with other media organizations which include the following: SPN, Versus, GSN, the Big Ten Network. Charissa has also covered a lot of sporting events which include FIFA World Cup, Vancouver Olympic Winter Games, Super Bowl (2011), NBA All-Star Game, BCS National Championship, NHL All-Star Game, and many more.
